Biography
Jane Diplock , AO
International Company Director; Member of the Supervisory Board of The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
After an executive career as a department head in the public sector, investment banking and regulation, her governance career is currently focused on sustainability and digitisation.
Currently, Jane Diplock AO is a Member of the Supervisory Board of The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) ,an independent non-executive Director of SGX Regulation Co, Deputy President of the Appeals Board of the Abu Dhabi Global Market, an Ambassador for the World Benchmarking Alliance, a Director of Australian Financial Services Group, a Member of the A4S Advisory Board, a Member of the Sustainability Advisory Board of Persefoni AI Inc, a Member of the Competant Boards Academy, a Member of the Governing Board of the ESG Exchange, and a Trustee and Member of the Wellington Zoo Board.
She previously served as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions, IOSCO , Chairman of the New Zealand Securities Commission, Foundation Board Member and Deputy Chairman of the International Integrated Reporting Council Board, a Director of Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX), a member of the Public Interest Oversight Board(PIOB), a member of the International Advisory Committee of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), and the International Advisory Board of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). She Chaired a proof of concept of the digital interoperability of sustainability taxonomies presented at COP26 in 2021.
Jane holds degrees in Arts(Hons) and Law, a Diploma of Education from Sydney University and a Diploma of International Law, International Economics and International Relations from the Australian National University. She was a Chevening Research Fellow at the London School of Economics. She was honoured by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll with the Order of Australia (AO) for “service to business and commerce, charitable and public service”, and recognised by the Australian Government as one of Advance 50 current and emerging Australian women leaders globally. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors New Zealand and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is a dual citizen of Australia and new Zealand.
